QTherm convector

Convectors can store heat too

Selected models have a heat-storage plate, they store heat while electricity is available (ideal from photovoltaics) and release it for a while longer. Fast, comfortable warmth with the option to use solar energy.

Why a convector?

A convector is an efficient solution for fast heat at the touch of a button. It works well as supplementary heating, is used flexibly and runs maintenance free. With modern thermostats and simple installation it offers high comfort wherever warmth is needed quickly, when it is needed.

Fast heat by convection

A convector warms the room air directly through its heating element. The warm air rises and sets up an even circulation, so comfortable warmth is felt after a short time. Especially practical for rooms used occasionally or for temporary needs.

Simple installation and flexible use

Whether wall mounted or freestanding, a convector can be used in many ways. It only needs a power connection and is ready to run right away. Ideal for apartments, offices, holiday homes or as a temporary solution during renovation and modernisation.

Economical with targeted use

With individual temperature control, different power levels and precise thermostats, a convector runs efficiently. Especially when used as needed in smaller rooms or as supplementary heating, energy costs can be reduced in a targeted way, without losing comfort.

How does a convector work?

A convector works on the physical principle of convection. Cool air enters at the lower part of the unit, the heating element warms it and the warm air rises. This creates a continuous air circulation that heats the room quickly, with no long wait and no complex technology.

Convection, heating and circulating air

The heating element inside the convector warms the air that flows through it. The warm air rises, slowly cools in the room and sinks again, so the cycle starts over. This natural circulation gives an even spread of heat with no mechanical parts, efficiently, reliably and maintenance free.

Heating without a fan

Fanless convectors run completely silently because they have no moving parts. They are ideal for bedrooms, living areas or offices where quiet is wanted. Thanks to convection heat, warming is fast and even, without noise.

Which applications is a convector suitable for?

Convectors are particularly useful when a room needs quick and efficient heating, for example in the transitional seasons or for temporary use. Thanks to their flexibility, they suit living spaces, home offices and guest rooms. Installers value the simple mounting, planners the design freedom. For landlords, builders and end users, a convector is an economical solution for many types of rooms.

Living and common areas

Whether living room, children's room or guest room, a convector gives fast, comfortable heat without a long warm up. Ideal for targeted heating or as a temporary supplementary heater when heat demand varies.

Home office and workspaces

In work areas, precise temperature control is often essential. A convector enables individual heat control, independent of central heating. A practical supplementary solution for repurposing space or fitting out a temporary workplace.

Convector in the bathroom

As an extra heat source, a convector also suits the bathroom, especially in the transitional season, for quick warmth before a shower. Important: in damp rooms it does not replace a primary heating system, and you should choose a model with a suitable splash protection rating.

What does electric heating cost?

Convectors convert almost 100% of electricity into heat and warm a room quickly, on demand. At Croatia's average 2026 electricity price (around €0.18/kWh), the heating cost depends mainly on insulation and how you use the room.

RoomAreaInsulationUse / seasonCost (€0.18/kWh)
Bedroom (new build)15 m²good540 kWh~€97
Office (partly renovated)20 m²medium900 kWh~€162
Living room (older building)25 m²poor1,170 kWh~€211
Bathroom (intermittent)8 m²good108 kWh~€19

Basis: about 180 heating days per year, average electricity price €0.18/kWh (2026). Actual cost depends on insulation, habits and tariff. Figures are indicative.

Heat only where and when needed

Convectors warm up fast and are easy to control per room, so you do not pay to heat empty rooms.

up to −60%

Photovoltaics

Your own solar power during the day means almost free heating. Bill reduction up to 60%.

Frequently asked questions

What convector power outputs are available?+

From 500 to 2400 W, in standard versions, with a heat-storage plate, and as wall convectors.

Do convectors work with photovoltaics?+

Models with a heat-storage plate store heat while photovoltaic electricity is available and release it later.

Where are they made?+

They are made in Germany (Made in Germany).

How much does convector heating cost?+

At around €0.18/kWh (2026) and a season of about 180 days, heating a well-insulated 15 m² room costs roughly €97 per season. Larger or poorly insulated rooms use more. Convectors are efficient and ideal for fast, on-demand and zoned heating.

Do convectors use a lot of electricity?+

Convectors are almost 100% efficient, so the cost of heat depends on the electricity price and the room's heat demand. With good insulation, zoning and smart control, running costs stay reasonable, with a very low upfront investment and no installation.

Are convectors good as main heating?+

Yes, in well-insulated spaces convectors can serve as main heating, and they are excellent for supplementary or intermittent heating thanks to their fast response and precise control.

Is convector heating worthwhile with photovoltaics?+

Yes. Your own solar power during the day can cover a large part of the heating demand, cutting heating cost by up to 60%.
